Now
You have found my now page. I haven’t done one of these in a while. But in addition to my blog, my now page tells you where I currently am at this point in my life inspired by Derek Sivers of nownownow.com
Feb 2026 - After a long, quiet winter, I’ve been spent some time looking inwards to see where I’m actually heading. The last few years have brought the usual oscillations, ups and downs both personally and professionally, but I’ve come out the other side simply enjoying life and the clarity that comes with a new season.
My days are still centered on the work I’ve always loved: being a dubbing mixer. It has been interesting to observe how the industry has shifted and how my own seat within it has moved too. What started in television has transitioned into a world of feature films, scripted drama, and long form documentaries. I’m still keeping my hands on as many audio projects as I can, including podcasts and immersive digital formats, curious to see where the medium goes next.
Parallel to the studio work, I’m finding a lot of purpose in lecturing. Working with audio, film, and music tech students is a constant reminder that learning is never a finished task; I’m learning from them every day, both formally and through the simple act of explaining the "why" behind the "how." To capture these thoughts, I’ve recently launched a YouTube channel and committed to writing a weekly article on Substack. My goal is to piece together a philosophical toolkit not just for the technicalities of sound production, but for surviving and thriving within the creative industries as a whole.
